Padre Fuentes had always wanted a place where pilgrims and interns could stay while they are visiting or working in El Salvador. The Pilgrim House, the latest building to be built on the grounds of the colegio in Agua Caliente, is just that, and more. The building is two stories. The first floor houses a dining room and kitchen, a small office for the school psychologist and meetings, a bathroom, a bedroom, and a storage room. The second floor contains five bedrooms with private bathrooms.
In order to get this project started, Padre Fuentes borrowed money from the local cooperative at a fairly high rate of interest. We are hoping to pay off this loan as soon as possible, and our goal is to raise at least $50,000. This is a large sum, but with the support of so many people around the world, we know we can do it. El Padre Fuentes siempre había querido un lugar donde los jóvenes y peregrinos podrían quedarse durante su visita a El Salvador. La Casa del Peregrino, el último edificio de ser construído en el colegio, es todo eso y más. Es de dos plantas. En la primera hay comedor, cocina, una oficina pequeña, un cuarto, un baño, y una bodega. La segunda planta tiene cinco habitaciones con sus propios baños.
Para financiar el proyecto, Padre Rafael prestó un dinero de la cooperativa a una tasa de intereses algo alto. Esperamos pagar el préstamo lo más antes posible.
