David tiene nueve años y estudia tercer grado. Su hermano, Oswaldo Enrique, estudia sexto. Los hermanos viven con su mamá en una casa cerca del cementerio (pero también el predio donde se suelen poner las ruedas para la fiesta patronal) en el centro del pueblo.
A David le gusta estudiar en el colegio porque está aprendiendo inglés, pero su materia favorita es ciencias. También le gusta venir a estudiar aquí porque puede ver a sus compañeros. Su comida favorita es el pollo frito y le encanta jugar pelota. Si puediese, David jugaría fútbol todo el día.
La mamá de David es madre soltera y tiene sus dos hijos aquí. Por eso, estamos felices de apoyarla con una media beca.

David is nine years old and in third grade. His brother, Oswaldo Enrique, is in sixth grade here. The boys live with their mother in a house near the cemetery (but also near the yearly carnival) in the center of town.
David likes studying at PNARDS because he’s been learning English, but his favorite subject is science. He also likes coming to school because he gets to chat with his classmates. David’s favorite food is fried chicken and he loves to play soccer. If he could choose, he would play soccer all day long.
David’s mom is a single mom and she has two boys at PNARDS this year. For this reason, we are happy to offer David a half-scholarship!
