Ariel tiene once años y estudia quinto grado en el colegio. Vive con su mamá y su padrastro, su hermano mayor, William, graduado del colegio, su hermana, y su sobrina, Amanda Guadalupe, alumna de kínder-5.
Las comidas favoritas de Ariel son pizza y hamburguesas. Ariel toca en la batucada del pueblo y también en la banda de paz del colegio. Su materia favorita es artística. En su tiempo libre, le gusta hacer ejercicio y cuando sea grande, quiere ser guía turística.
La mamá de Ariel está contenta con la educación que recibe su hijo en el colegio, pero ha estado pasando unos momentos económicamente difíciles. Busca trabajitos en el pueblo y remienda, pero no le alcanza para pagar la mensualidad. Por eso le hemos ofrecido a Ariel una media beca.

Ariel is eleven years old and attends fifth grade at PNARDS. He lives with his mother and step-father, his older brother, William, a PNARDS graduate, his sister, and his niece, Amanda Guadalupe, who is in Kinder-5.
Ariel’s favorite foods are pizza and hamburgers. He plays in the town drumline (called “batucada”) and was also in the school marching band. Ariel’s favorite subject is art. In his free time, he likes to do all kinds of exercise. When he grows up, Ariel wants to be a tour guide.
Ariel’s mother is pleased with the education her son has been receiving at PNARDS, but she is going through some tough financial circumstances right now. She looks for odd jobs around town and also takes in some mending, but has a difficult time making ends meet for such a large family. Therefore, we have offered Ariel a scholarship so he can continue to study here.
