Rosibel tiene ocho años y estudia segundo grado. Vive con su mamá y su papá en una casita pequeña a la par de sus abuelos y tíos. Queda algo lejos del colegio, entonces la mamá de Rosibel, Mari, a veces la viene a dejar en una bici que presta. Rosi es hija única. Su papá es ayudante de albañil y su mamá es ama de casa y a veces encuentra trabajo limpiando otras casas.
La materia favorita de Rosibel es artística y su comida favorita es pizza. Su color favorito es el morado. Ama a su maestra y le gusta visitar la biblioteca del colegio. En su tiempo libre, Rosibel juega pelota, descansa en la hamaca, y juega con sus amigos. También ayuda con los quehaceres en la casa. Rosibel siempre llega con el mejor peinado de todas sus compañeritas.
Este es el segundo año que Rosibel estudia en el colegio. Sus papás la sacaron de la escuela pública a mediados del año el año pasado cuando se dieron cuenta de que la maestra pasaba más tiempo viendo su celular que los alumnos. Han estado muy contentos con el progreso de la Rosi y quieren que ella siga estudiando aquí.

Rosibel is eight years old and in second grade. She lives with her mother and father in a tiny house right near her grandparents and cousins. It’s quite a hike out of town, so sometimes Rosibel’s mother, Mari, brings her on a bicycle she borrows. Rosi is an only child. Her father is a contractor’s assistant and her mother keeps their house and sometimes finds work cleaning other houses around town.
Rosi’s favorite subject is art and her favorite food is pizza. Her favorite color is purple. She loves her teacher and she also likes to visit the school library. In her free time, Rosibel likes to play soccer, rest in the hammock, and play with her friends. She also helps around the house with the chores. Rosi always has the best hairdo in class!
This is Rosibel’s second year at PNARDS. Her parents made the decision to move her here during the middle of last year, when they realized that Rosi’s first grade teacher at the public school spent more time on her cell phone than giving class. They have been very happy with their daughter’s progress and want Rosibel to study here as long as she can!
