Thanks to your support, Santiago has been sponsored for the 2018 school year!

Santiago is eight years old and in second grade at PNARDS. Santiago lives with his parents and his older brother, Luis (who is in ninth grade here) in the township of Agua Zarca. He lives right next door to his cousins, Madelin and Alexandra, who also go to PNARDS.
Santiago is a sweet, enthusiastic boy. He loves animals and has a new baby horse which he is taking care of. Sometimes, he isn’t the best listener, but he is likes learning. “Santi”, as his family calls him, enjoys playing soccer and he says he almost never sleeps at night. Santiago’s favorite subject is language arts and his favorite food is chicken soup. When he grows up, he wants to be a dentist.
Santi’s parents keep dairy cattle. However, their income is only about $150 per month, especially now that the price of milk has dropped. They take the bus into town every day, and with all the expenses the family has, it is hard for their parents to afford the tuition for both sons. However, Santi receives a half-scholarship because his mother wants to make sure that he gets a good education, and she knows that PNARDS will provide that.
