Flor tiene nueve años y estudia tercer grado en el colegio. Vive con su mamá, Paty, y su papá, Mauricio, el director del colegio. Sus papás le dieron su nombre porque nació en mayo, el mes de la Virgen.
Flor es una niña inteligente y le gusta dibujar. Es buena para manualidades también. Su color favorito es el morado y su comida favorita es el pescado. Su materia favorita es física, y le encanta venir a estudiar aquí porque tiene muchas amigas. Cuando sea grande, Flor quiere tener una sala de belleza. Siempre viene bien peinadita a estudiar.
Los papás de Flor son parte del coro de la parroquia de Agua Caliente y le gusta cantar con ellos. Su papá ya le está enseñando a cantar algunas de las canciones y ella es parte del coro del colegio. Mauricio y Paty no siempre alcanzan para la cuota, pero a Flor le encanta estudiar aquí. Entonces les echamos la mano con una beca.

Flor is nine years old and attends third grade at PNARDS. She lives with her mother, Paty, and her father, Mauricio, who is the principal at our school. Flor’s name means “Flower of Mary”. Her parents gave her this name because she was born in May, the month of Mary.
Flor is a smart girl and likes drawing. She’s also good at doing arts and crafts. Her favorite color is purple and her favorite food is fish. Her favorite subject at school is gym and Flor loves coming to study here because she has a lot of friends. When she grows up, Flor wants to own a beauty salon. She always comes to school with a pretty hairdo.
Flor’s parents both sing in the choir at the church in Agua Caliente and Flor likes to sing with them. Her father has started to teach her to sing some of the songs and she continues to sing in the PNARDS school choir. Flor loves coming to school, but Mauricio and Paty can’t always make ends meet, so Flor has a scholarship.
