Flor tiene trece años y estudia séptimo grado en el colegio. Viene del cantón de Agua Fría, afuera del pueblo, pero una vez empezó a estudiar aquí, su familia se vino para el pueblo. Vive con su mamá, Nuria, y su hermano, Erick. Él estudia en la universidad en la ciudad cercana de Chalatenango.
La materia favorita de Flor es ciencias y su comida favorita es quesadillas mexicanas. Le gusta estudiar en el colegio porque tiene muchos amigos. En su tiempo libre, le gusta pasar con ellos y con su familia. Cuando Flor sea grande, quiere ser aerohermosa. Este año, Flor participó en la elección de la Reina de las Fiestas Patronales. No ganó, pero si fue Miss Simpatía!
La mamá de Flor es madre soltera y sus ingresos son de una pequeñs librería que tiene. Apoya a sus dos hijos en sus estudios porque lo siente una prioridad. Estamos felices de poder ayudar a esta familia luchadora.

Flor is thirteen years old and in seventh grade at PNARDS. Flor is from the village of Agua Fría, outside of town, but once she started attending PNARDS, her family moved in to town. She lives with her mom, Nuria, and her brother Erick, who is studying at the university in Chalatenango.
Flor’s favorite subject is science and her favorite food is quesadillas. She likes coming to PNARDS because she has lots of friends. In her free time, she likes to hang out with them and with her family. When Flor grows up, she wants to be a flight attendant. This year, Flor competed to be the Queen of the patron saint festivities in town. She didn’t win, but she was Miss Congenialty!
Flor’s mother is a single mom and her only income is from a little business she runs out of her home. She is supporting her two children in their studies, which she feels is a priority. We are happy to help a woman who has fought so hard for her kids.
