Gabriel tiene catorce años y estudia noveno grado en el colegio. Antes vivía en Agua Fría, en las afueras del pueblo, pero su abuela se enfermó y su mamá, sus hermanas, y él se vinieron para estar cerca de ella y cuidarla.
Gabriel piensa seguir estudiando bachillerato el otro año. Su comida favorita es el pescado y su materia favorita es matemáticas. Le gusta jugar, especialmente fútbol, y cuando sea grande quiere ser empresario o profesor. En su tiempo libre, Gabriel ve tele o hace las tareas.
La familia de Gaby quiere que reciba una buena educación, entonces está haciendo un sacrificio para que termine sus estudios aquí, pero no siempre puede pagar la cuota entera y por eso le hemos ofrecido una media beca.

Gabriel is fourteen years old and in ninth grade at PNARDS. Gabriel used to live in the village of Agua Fría, outside of town, but his grandmother has been sick recently, so he and his mom and his sisters have come to live with her in town, so that his mom can take care of her.
Gabriel plans to continue studying at the public high school in Agua Caliente next year. His favorite food is fish and his favorite subject is math. He likes to play sports, especially soccer, and when he grows up he wants to be a business owner or a teacher. In his free time, Gabriel likes to watch TV or do his homework.
Gaby’s family wants him to get a good education, so they are making a big sacrifice for him to come to PNARDS this year, but they can’t always make ends meet, so we have offered Gaby a half-scholarship.
