Thanks to your support, Katherine has been sponsored for the 2018 school year!

Katherine is seven years old and attends first grade at PNARDS. Her two older brothers, David and Daniel, also study at PNARDS. David is in seventh grade and Daniel is in sixth grade.
Katherine’s favorite food is hamburgers and her favorite subject is computers. Her favorite part of coming to school is recess. She has six cousins that also study here. Katherine has a pencil collection. She likes helper her mom around the house, especially with the mopping. When Kati grows up, she wants to be a doctor.
Kati’s family is very close and loving but is going through some tough financial circumstances. Her mother, Magdalena, makes and sells fresh cheese around town, but she has not been selling as much lately. Her father works taking care of pigs and helping his wife with her cheese. Together, their earnings are not enough to afford school for all three of the children. In addition, the siblings all have asthma and allergies, and must make a monthly trip to San Salvador for check-ups at the children’s hospital there.
Katherine’s mother finished high school, but her father only finished sixth grade. The family is active at church – all three children are altar servers and their parents sing in the church choir. They really want to provide their children with a Catholic education, because they know that the values that are instilled at PNARDS will last their children a lifetime.
