Thanks to your support, Marvin has been sponsored for the 2018 school year!

Marvin is eleven years old and attends fifth grade at PNARDS. This is his first year here. Marvin is living at PNARDS, and he comes from a tiny village called Cañitas. To get home, he has to take two different buses, hitch a ride on a pickup truck, and then walk for two hours straight up a mountain! Although Marvin is the youngest of five brothers, he doesn’t feel lonely here, because his older brother, Edgar, is studying at the high school in Agua Caliente.
Marvin’s favorite foods are pupusas and chicken…but he doesn’t like pupusas filled with chicken! He likes them better with beans. His favorite subject is math, and when he grows up, he wants to study something with numbers. He’s good at doing arithmetic in his head. Marvin also loves to play soccer and knows how to play the snare drum. He’s learning to play guitar, as well. Marvin is very studious and helpful around the house. He says he wants to keep studying at PNARDS because he doesn’t “want to spend the rest of his life just digging in the dirt.”
