Ronald tiene quince años y estudia noveno grado en el colegio. Vive en Agua Caliente con sus bisabuelos. También tiene tres hermanas, pero todas están en Estados Unidos. Ronald ha estudiado varios años aquí, y es el segundo año que recibe beca. En el 2015, amputaron la pierna de la bisabuela de Ronald, y desde entonces ella no ha podido trabajar en la casa. Los gastos médicos de la familia también son bastante altos y les ha hecho difícil la situación económica.
La materia favorita de Ronald es estudios sociales y su comida favorita es pupusas. En su tiempo libre, le gusta jugar fútbol y pasar en el parque con sus amigos. Piensa continuar estudiando en el instituto nacional del pueblo el otro año y espera trabajar algún día en un call center.

Ronald is fifteen years old and in ninth grade at PNARDS. He lives in Agua Caliente with his great-grandparents. He also has three sisters, but they all live in the United States. Ronald has been at PNARDS for several years, and this is the second year he will be receiving a half-scholarship. At the end of 2015, his great-grandmother had to have her leg amputated. She can no longer work or help out around the house, and medical bills have made the family’s economic situation rather difficult.
Ronald’s favorite subject is social studies and his favorite food is pupusas. In his free time, he likes to play soccer and hang out at the park with his friends. Ronald plans to continue studying at the public high school in town next year and hopes to someday work at a call center.
