Vicky tiene quince años y estudia noveno grado en el colegio. Ella empezó a estudiar aquí en el primer grado, el mismo año que se fundó el colegio. Vicky tiene dos hermanos menors, Diego (de tercer grado) y Juan Manuel (tiene tres años). Los hermanos viven con sus papás en el cantón de Agua Zarca, aproximadamente 10 minutos del colegio en carro.
Vicky piensa seguir estudiando en el instituto nacional del pueblo el otro año. Le gusta leer y su comida favorita es la pizza. Cuando sea grande, quiere ser dentista. Vicky era la «Reina de las Flores» 2017.
Este es el primer año que Vicky recibe beca. Ella y Diego siempre han estudiado aquí, pero a sus papás se les ha hecho algo difícil la situación económica este año. Tienen ganado y el precio de la leche ha bajado. Estamos felices poder ofrecer una beca a Vicky para que termine sus estudios aquí con todos sus amigos y profesores.

Vicky is fifteen years old and in ninth grade. She has been studying at PNARDS since first grade, the same year it was founded! Vicky has two younger brothers, Diego (who is in third grade) and Juan Manuel (who is almost three). The siblings live with their parents in the township of Agua Zarca, a 10 minute drive from school.
Vicky plans to continue studying at the public high school in Agua Caliente next year. She likes reading and her favorite food is pizza. When Vicky grows up, she wants to be a dentist. She is the 2017 “Queen of the Flowers”.
Vicky is a new scholarship recipient. She and Diego have always studied here, but her parents own dairy cattle, and with the falling price of milk, it has become difficult for them to afford tuition this year. We are happy to offer Vicky this half-scholarship so that she can finish out her primary school here, with all her friends and teachers.
